11/1/2019 - NEW OFFICIAL HABITICA CHALLENGES! RESOLUTION SUCCESS AND TAKE THIS
The Habitica team has launched a special official Challenge series hosted in the Official New Year's Resolution Guild. These Challenges are designed to help you build and maintain goals that are destined for success and then stick with them as the year progresses. For this month's Challenge, Here Be Dragons, we're focusing on obstacles that arise as you reach the end of the year! It has a 15 Gem prize, which will be awarded to five lucky winners on December 2nd.

SUPERNATURAL SKINS AND HAUNTED HAIR COLORS
The Seasonal Edition Haunted Hair Colors are now available for purchase! Now you can dye your avatar's hair Pumpkin, Midnight, Candy Corn, Ghost White, Zombie, or Halloween. Get them before October 31st!
The Supernatural Skin Set is also available until October 31st! Now your avatar can become an Ogre, Skeleton, Pumpkin, Candy Corn, Reptile, or Dread Shade.
Seasonal Edition items recur unchanged every year, but they are only available to purchase during a short period of time. Find these exciting skins and hair colors in User>Edit Avatar. Get them now, or you'll have to wait until next year!

Spooky Sparkles in the Seasonal Shop
There's a new Gold-purchasable item in the Seasonal Shop: Spooky Sparkles! Buy some and then cast it on your friends. I wonder what it will do?
If you have Spooky Sparkles cast on you, you will receive the "Alarming Friends" badge! Don't worry, any mysterious effects will wear off the next day.... or you can cancel them early by buying an Opaque Potion!
While you're at it, be sure to check out all the other items in the Seasonal Shop! There are lots of equipment items from the previous Fall Festivals. The Seasonal Shop will only be open until October 31st, so stock up now.

There's a new pet breed in town! Between now and October 31st, you can buy Magic Hatching Potions from the Market and use them to hatch any standard pet egg. (Magic Hatching Potions do not work on Quest Pet eggs.) Magic Potion Pets aren't picky, so they'll happily eat any kind of food that you feed them!
For this Gala, we've brought back Glow-in-the-Dark Potions and Spooky Potions, and added a brand-new potion: Shadow!
After they're gone, it will be at least a year before these Hatching Potions are available again, so be sure to get them now!

Watery and Glass Hatching Potions
There's a new pet breed in town! Check out the brand-new Watery Potions and the return of Glass Potions. You can get them in the Market and use them to hatch any standard pet egg. (Magic Hatching Potions do not work on Quest Pet eggs.) Magic Hatching Potion Pets aren't picky, so they'll happily eat any kind of food that you feed them!
These potions will be available until the Summer Splash Gala ends on July 31. After they're gone, it will be at least a year before the Watery or Glass Hatching Potions are available again, so be sure to get them now!

New Pet Quest: Dolphin! And New Pet Collection and Pet Quest Achievement Badges
Feeling doubtful about your ability to tackle your tasks? Could be you have dolphin doldrums! Get the latest pet quest, The Dolphin of Doubt, and earn some chipper dolphin pets by completing your real-life tasks.
An important announcement regarding quests: We’ll be adding new types of quests with exciting rewards like Magic Hatching Potions! We're also releasing new achievements so you can celebrate your successes in the world of Habitican pet collecting! SUNSHINE AND FLORAL HATCHING POTIONS!
There's a new pet breed in town! Check out the brand-new Sunshine Potions and the return of Floral Potions. You can get them in the Market and use them to hatch any standard pet egg. (Magic Hatching Potions do not work on Quest Pet eggs.) Magic Hatching Potion Pets aren't picky, so they'll happily eat any kind of food that you feed them!
After they're gone, it will be at least a year before the Sunshine or Floral Hatching Potions are available again, so be sure to get them now!

The Habitica team has launched a special official Challenge series hosted in the Official New Year's Resolution Guild. These Challenges are designed to help you build and maintain goals that are destined for success and then stick with them as the year progresses. Garden Magic Hatching Potions
The April Fool returns to the Tavern, wearing his trademarked mischievious grin and pulling a wagon whose contents are covered with a colorful cloth.
"I'm so glad everyone enjoyed my wholesome joke!" he declares, tossing confetti in the air as he often does. "Since you all had so much fun, I've brought you another surprise!"
He dramatically pulls away the cloth to reveal that the wagon is filled with potion bottles! Each bottle seems to contain a shape-shifting vegetable.
"Now you can keep your fruit and veggie pets all year round!" he says. "Take good care of them, and I'll see you all again soon. I guess I've really outdone myself so I have some serious planning to do before next year..." With that, the Fool takes his leave, disappearing in a puff of lettuce leaves and leaving the cart full of potions.
Thanks to the April Fool, you can purchase Garden Magic Hatching Potions in the Market between now and April 30! Garden pets do not have mount forms (yet!) so keep that in mind when you're purchasing. After they're gone, it will be at least a year before Garden Magic Potions are available again, so be sure to get them now!

THE APRIL FOOL STRIKES AGAIN!
Fruit and Veggie Pets and NPCs
The April Fool has appeared, and he's got a farmer's market's worth of produce in tow.
"HAHA!" he cries, as a dragonfruit bounces along beside him. "I've always thought good humor should be healthful and nourishing, so I've gone back to my roots, if you will, to bring some plant-powered goodness into Habitica once again!"
"He's replaced all our equipped pets with fruits and vegetables!" says QuartzFox, gently patting a contented-looking tomato. "Although to be fair, they are very cute fruits and vegetables!"
Equipping different pets will show different fruits and veggies. Have fun discovering them all!
The NPCs have also been turned into their fruit and vegetable forms as a tribute to Habitica's very first April Fool's prank back in 2014! Go check them out.

The April Fool Stops By the Tavern...
As March in Habitica comes to a close, everyone is wondering what the ever-impish Master of Rogues, the April Fool, might have in store for his favorite holiday.
He's stopped by the Tavern today, ostensibly for lunch, but he seems keen to put everyone at ease about the possibility of shenanigans in the near future.
"I've re-committed myself to health!" he says, happily munching on a crisp, ripe pear. "I'm too busy brushing up on nutrition to possibly pull a prank! If anything I'd rather just help every Habitican get more healthy food into their routines."
Beffymaroo smiles and leans to whisper to Piyo and SabreCat, on the next bench.
"Given his track record over the years, I'd say the chance he's going to behave himself this year is about as good as the chance of artichokes falling from the sky."

Cupid and Rose Quartz Hatching Potions
There's a new pet breed in town! We're excited to introduce the new Rose Quartz Magic Hatching Potions, and to announce the return of Cupid Potions! Between now and February 28, you can buy these potions from the Market and use them to hatch any standard pet egg. (Magic Hatching Potions do not work on Quest Pet eggs.) Magic Potion Pets aren't picky, so they'll happily eat any kind of food that you feed them!
After they're gone, it will be at least a year before the Cupid or Rose Quartz Hatching Potions are available again, so be sure to get them now!

FEBRUARY RESOLUTION SUCCESS CHALLENGE AND NEW TAKE THIS CHALLENGE
The Habitica team has launched a special official Challenge series hosted in the Official New Year's Resolution Guild. These Challenges are designed to help you build and maintain goals that are destined for success and then stick with them as the year progresses. For this month's Challenge, Hone Your Weapons, we're focusing on refining and narrowing down your goals to make them more achievable! It has a 15 Gem prize, which will be awarded to five lucky winners on March 1st.

Cake for Everybody!
In honor of the festivities, everyone has been awarded an assortment of yummy cake to feed to your pets! Plus, for the next two days Alexander the Merchant is selling cake in his shop, and cake will sometimes drop when you complete your tasks. Cake works just like normal pet food, but if you want to know what type of pet likes each slice, the wiki has spoilers.

There are Party Robes available for free in the Rewards column! What color you receive is based on how many Habitica Birthdays you've celebrated. Don them with pride!
