Some notes towards mapping GitHub

I've been working my way through GitHub, so here are some working notes about how to find content in GitHub.

Images

• Generally, images are at:
  • https://github.com/HabitRPG/habitica/tree/develop/website
  • https://github.com/HabitRPG/habitica/tree/develop/website/raw_sprites/spritesmith
  • https://github.com/HabitRPG/habitica/tree/develop/website/raw_sprites/spritesmith_large

Look for update times, and follow the recent updates to find new info.

• To look for missing images, use the Equipment Table Creator to generate fresh code. Instead of placing the code immediately in the Equipment Table Code template, put it in your sandbox and search for "File:" to look for any new entries that don't have images.
• Two traps I will hopefully not fall into again:
  • Most of the equipment for the 2017-18 Winter Festival was in a shop subdirectory, but the armor isn't, and it's easier to take them all from one directory up, which has the right armor files and doesn't require that the "shop_" prefix be removed from the filename.
  • I didn't realize that filename matching on the wiki is not case sensitive. So even if the Equipment table calls for "Broad_armor_special_winter2018Warrior.png", it's OK to stick with GitHub capitalization and upload as "broad_armor_special_winter2018Warrior.png"

• The Bailey post images are sometimes scattered around. I'll update, but it's generally helpful to follow directories by recent edit stamps.

Open Questions

• Is the historical Bailey text available? Maybe through the wayback machine?
