read this article: http://habitica.wikia.com/wiki/Pomodoro and implemented pomodoro in habitica. Now I have one medium habit - 'One Pomodoro session' and one trivial daily - 'Min 4 Pomodoros'. Now that I think of it, this approach is flawed, because daily is set trivial, I won't get punished hardly for missing it. What can I do now? What's better method? If I set daily to hard and habit to medium, I will have points exaggerated. If I set daily to hard and habit to trivial, my one pomodoro will be worth hard / 4 or 0.5 gold. Pls help (:
1) The trivial Daily. This holds you basically accountable with a streak counter.
2) A medium positive Habit (One Pomodoro)
3) A hard negative negative Habit (Missed Pomodoros).
This pulls the gold gain into the positive habit, and counts on you clicking the negative Habit to take the extra damage. If you set Habits as +/-, they hold their value constant, like a positive/negative streak. If you leave them as single direction (+ or -) it normalizes back towards yellow at your cron.
sorry for the delay and thank you so much. This is the perfect solution imo. Maybe it should be written in the wiki page of pomodoro, especially this part - "3) A hard negative negative Habit (Missed Pomodoros)". :)
P.S. Sorry, I don't quite understand this part:
If you set Habits as +/-, they hold their value constant, like a positive/negative streak. If you leave them as single direction (+ or -) it normalizes back towards yellow at your cron.
A habit is either + only, - only, or +/- when you create it. A + habit can only be positively clicked, a - negatively clicked. Every day, + and - only habits go back towards yellow, because every day you don't do that habit, it gives less gold / does less damage, whereas if you keep doing those things, it increases the color (more blue for + or more red for -).
A +/- (both buttons) habit keeps its color and doesn't decay towards yellow every day. So I have some that are permanently blue because I've done them consistently well instead of missing.
Stupid question: do either of these Pomodoro plugins automatically apply/update sucessful pomodoros? I see that they are in my "Tasks" now, but I still have to go in and manually click on the plus sign every time I complete one?
