Party Rules

1. Let's chat!  Don't be afraid to start a conversation in the chat! We are all friendly and don't bite haha :grin:

2. Cast it like it's hot! Every class has something to help out the party... and well you know, sharing is caring! Please be generous with your casting. In the current version of Habitica it can take about 30 seconds for each cast to process; hopefully in the next version it will be faster.

3. Don't be too hard on yourself! If its been a hard day (we've all had one of those) and you might not be able to keep up with your Dailies, go to the tavern and check into the Inn! You may still participate in quests and are encouraged to continue to cast your skills.

4. Vcay all day! If you are going on holiday or just going to be away from Habitica for a while, check into the Inn, then let us know, or just PM our Leader if you are shy, and they will let everyone know your are on vacation; include an expected return time if you have one. Being on Vcay indicates you realize we will not hold a quest for you, but If you happen to get a chance to peek in on us while on Vcay, feel free to cast your skills and either accept or reject quests, just let us know this was a peek and you are still on Vcay.. Vcays should not last more than a few weeks unless you tell us you need to extend your Vcay, or you let u s know it will be longer. People on Vcay are expected to be sleeping in the Inn.

5. Been ghosting too long. Members who have not signed into Habitica for over a month or have been in the Inn for much longer than anticipated without PMing the leader may be removed from the group. You will be sent a nudge; a PM reminding you to participate with skills and/or questing. If you are removed from inactivity, you are welcome to rejoin once you are active again.

6. Share the love. Anyone sending an invitation to a quest should post it in our chat, making sure to include the quest's Start Day and Time, plus their Time Zone. WAIT at least 24 hours after sending the Invitation to start the quest since our Party has members from all over the world. You may wait up to another 4 hours if there are active members who usually Accept or Decline quests who have not done so yet. If the Quest is set to start in the middle of the night you may wait till you wake up to start it. You may also start the quest early when everyone in our party has either accepted or rejected the quest except those on Vcay and those who have not logged into Habitica for over 3 days.

7. Please party, can we do... Looking to do a particular pet quest and don't have enough gems? Ask and you may receive!

8. Tick tock goes the clock. (accept or decline) Please ***always*** either accept or decline quests so we will know when we can start quests early. You only have 24 hours from when the invitation was sent to respond to the quest; unless the quest owner decides to extend the time(28 hours at the most). Quest owners may also choose to start the quest at the beginning of the next day if the quest is set to start in the middle of the night. (OWNERS: Remember to post the time and date the quest will begin along with your time zone.) [We will not have to manually start quests if everyone has either accepted or rejected the quest,Habitica will automatically start the quest.]

9. Wait! Before you continue the non-pet quest adventuring (the next non-pet quest in line), wait a day so other party members can join the "quest invitation party" with pet quests, then everyone can rejoin your conga line of fun non-pet quests! 

10. "Calling for Healing" is the best policy. If your login caused more then just a few points of damage to your party members, make sure to send a PM to our healers, so they can react quickly. This happens to all of us from time to time!

Three (3) pet quests, followed by The next Non-Pet Quest or Quest Line on our Non-Pet Quest List

• When a "New" Pet Quest is created in Habitica, anyone can send it immediately.

• On the Non-Gold Purchasable Quests, once you start the first quest in a quest line, you are responsible for all the rest of the quests in that line because you are the only one to receive the scroll for the next non-pet quest in that line**.

If you are *not SURE* which quest is next*, first ask in our Chat and/or ask me in a PM before you send an invitation. Quests will be done by **whoever sends it first***, although I will cancel quests that should not be done next according to the list. Please reject quests if you are not going to accept them. 1. ***"Bad Days"*** --- Should I check into the Inn? OR Is there another solution when I can't complete my dailies?

• • If you need a day of rest during a challenge**, *you can add a checklist to a challenge Daily with one item and tick that item on days when you don't want to do the Daily but don't deserve punishment for it. The Streak is lost, no XP and GP are gained, but no health is lost. Note that a challenge creator cannot add checklists to challenge tasks, but the challenge participants can.*

1. 1. *Sometimes the whole day can be a Challenge, so we check into the Inn at the Tavern.*  

• However**, some of us have a lot of challenging days because of health issues, a new job or other reasons.I often have health related challenge days. It seems unfair the boss can damage me while I'm in the Inn, but I cannot damage it with the Dailies I do manage to complete. I decided to ***build up my defenses.***

 

Let's build up our defenses.**

Make** a single item checklist in all your non-grey Dailies.

Tick** all those *checklist items* at the **b**eginning of your day ***every day*** we are fighting this boss.

If** you complete a Daily, ***Check It Off***; you do not need to "untick" the checklist item.

The boss*** will receive damage for the Dailies you completed and checked off,

and ***neither our party nor you*** will receive damage for your undone Dailies and no health is lost.

You still suffer some consequences from your undone Dailies***: Your Streaks are lost, and no experience points(XP) or gold points(GP) are gained.

Some consider it cheating***, but Habitica gave us the means to do this. I don't do it all the time, mostly when I'm having a streak of bad days and still want my completed Dailies to damage the boss.

I also get discouraged with "negative" consequesces and encouraged by "positive" outcomes.**

I will give up if I am "punished" and work harder when I see progress.**

Cheaters will just check off their Dailies whether they completed them or not.
