History & Mission[]
The Fellowship of the Assiduous was formally founded & began accepting applications for new members in September of 2022 after being a one-member party comprised only of party leader effie for several months.
The mission of the Fellowship is simple: to support one another in our journey to diligently complete our tasks & achieve our goals.
Code of Conduct[]
In addition to the Habitica Community Guidelines, there are some party guidelines that we ask all members to adhere to in order to promote a positive, productive environment. This is a living document & is subject to change based on the needs of the party.
Chat Guidelines[]
- Be active in chat. We ask that members speak in the Discord at least twice a week. We want this party to feel like a real community & that means communicating with each other. We know that real life happens so if you are unable to be active in the Discord for more than a week, please let party leadership know.
- Be considerate. This is the internet, tone is not easily conveyed. Please consider how your words will come off before you send them. Name calling, shaming (even in jest) & bigoted comments or jokes will not be tolerated.
Questing Guidelines[]
- Only sign up if you can be active. Because no one is obligated to participate in quests, we ask that you only commit if you can show up daily. Remember, your party members are counting on you!
- Mind your party members. Please avoid doing excessive damage to the party by missing lots of dailies. If you know that you are going to miss a number of dailies, consider making them inactive or consolidating some of them to lessen the blow to the party.
- Be a team player, not a main character. We want everyone to get a chance to deal damage to bosses so we ask that members avoid dealing one-kill shots until all questing party members have had a turn to deal some damage. (We understand that, at times, this cannot be avoided. But please do your best.)
- Use the inn when necessary. Please check into the inn if you are going to miss more than 3 dailies in one day.
Quest Tracker Guidelines[]
- Use the appropriate spreadsheet. If you have a quest that you want us to do, sign up under “Quest Tracker/Waitlist.” If you are requesting a quest, sign up under “Quest Requests.” Only party leadership should add quests to “Completed Quests.”
- Use the appropriate status. All quests should be added to the Quest Tracker/Waitlist with the “waitlist” status. Party leadership will change the status to “In progress” or “Complete” when it’s time.
- Leave some space for others. Leave space between your quest sign-ups & requests so that others can join in. As a rule of thumb, your name should not appear more than once every four names. Exceptions to this rule can be granted by party leadership as they are deemed appropriate.
- Do not jump the line. Add each new quest to the bottom of the respective page of the spreadsheet. (Failure to do so will result in your quest being removed altogether. )
- Do not re-arrange the spreadsheet. Only party leadership should re-arrange the spreadsheet. All new entries by party members should be added to the bottom of the spreadsheet.
- Start your quest within 24 hours. We understand that we have members from around the world, so we ask that if you are next in line on the Quest Tracker, you log in within 24 hours of the last quest completing to start your quest. Party leadership will do their best to send reminders via private message & party chat but it is up to each party member to know their place in line & be ready. Just keep an eye on the spreadsheet if you know you signed up!
- Feel free to contribute! It is not mandatory that party members donate quests, but without donations, quests can only be completed as party leadership can afford to procure them. Please don’t feel pressured to contribute quests, but know that we are always welcoming contributions. Just add your name & the quest info to the “Quest Tracker/Waitlist” page & be prepared to run your quest when it’s time!
Removal from Party[]
Party members that fail to adhere to the guidelines listed above run the risk of being removed from the party. In most cases, warnings will be sent from party leadership before anyone is kicked from the party, although this will depend on the severity of the infraction.
Quests[]
Quest Tracker[]
The Quest Tracker can be found in the party description on the party page and in the Discord. The Quest Tracker acts as both a quest waitlist & a quest log. Please see the Quest Tracker guidelines under “Code of Conduct” for best practices when using the Quest Tracker.
Quest Tips[]
In addition to the Questing Guidelines listed above, here are some tips to help you while questing in the party.
- Cast Valorous Presence to buff the party's Strength!
- Cast Intimidating Gaze to buff the party's Constitution!
- After the first day has passed, cast Brutal Smash to deal extra damage to the boss!
