A list of the 2022 New Year Countdown Challenge Series tasks as listed in the eponymous guild.
Day One: The task for December 1st was about making a plan, large or small, for the month ahead. The 25 gem main prize was sponsored by LadyShae, with bonus prizes of 15 gems each from Lalaitha and Essja7. The winners were FRITZ_1, gronkishy and thisisgator.
Day Two: The task for December 2nd was to take at least 15 minutes to do something for yourself. The main prize, sponsored by autumn_leaf, was 25 gems. There were two bonus prizes of 15 gems each, sponsored by Ceran and Cayst. The winners were nubis, pandorabob and hb-d0zi0bm5vvbqvdhfn.
Day Three: The task for December 3rd was to give your time to a loved one, with a 25 gem prize sponsored by ieahleen, and two bonus prizes of 15 gems each from LadyShae and callme_m. The winners were hb-cajmm8cem6ppahtzw, Essja7 and trickstrrgoddess.
Day Four: The task for December 4th was to do something kind for a stranger or acquaintance. The main prize, sponsored by Lalaitha, was 25 gems. There were two bonus prizes of 15 gems each, sponsored by autumn_leaf and eleanorthetroubadour. The winners were Hermi, Baerielus and onebucket.
Day Five: The (optional) task for December 5th was to tell someone a joke you like. The main prize, sponsored by shanaqui, was 25 gems. There were two bonus prizes of 25 gems each, also sponsored by shanaqui. The winners were MightyMeaty, omahairish and Jacinta123.
Day Six: The task for December 6th was to reach out to someone you miss. The main prize, sponsored by Ceran, was 25 gems. There were two bonus prizes of 15 gems each, sponsored by ieahleen and IAmProductive. The winners were nighthawkluna, royk4444 and Wariannem.
Day Seven: The task for December 7th was to spend some quality time with a pet, or seek out animals to spend time with. Saying hi to a neighbour's cat, or cuddling a teddybear counted too. The main prize, sponsored by Frija, was 25 gems. There were two bonus prizes of 15 gems each, sponsored by Frija and -Chu-. The winners were 1i1y, float67 and hb-6c0kdg7uu1b77cl6k.
Day Eight: The task for December 8th was to read something. It didn't have to be a book; fanfic, the news, a scientific paper, a comic, a short story, or listening to an audiobook counted as well. The main prize, sponsored by Liviasum, was 25 gems. There were two bonus prizes of 15 gems each, sponsored by Liviasum and LindyBlues. The winners were BearlyManaging, UltraBlack and Just_Vee.
Day Nine: The task for December 9th was to share something you love. There was a 25 gem prize from TiMbl4, and 15 gem bonus prizes from TiMbl4 and DGF611. The New Year Countdown Fairy retroactively added two more prizes. All winners were: Leo_der_Magier, Beeblebrox299, MilkyJellyTea and StarDreamer.
Day Ten: Day Ten had an optional task of sharing a song that gets stuck in your head. This challenge had a 25 gem prize from shanaqui, and three bonus prizes of 25 gems each, also from shanaqui. The winners are: LuVega, Hollyivymistletoe, ShiningStar113, VantaBleu and Lizzyg931.
Day Eleven: Day Eleven's challenge was to ask for help, and it had a 30 gem prize from theduba, with four 20 gem bonus prizes sponsored by theduba, CernyPie, TiMbl4 and MEmry. The winners were Sailing_Bird, Wariannem, jschroeder017, samuelanki and ZellieZelle.
Day Twelve: Day Twelve's prompt was to dance! The challenge had a 30 gem prize from spartan7886, and four 20 gem bonus prizes from spartan7886, suspreena, theduba, and kitbeard. The winners were Runker, Deltacascade, Citrusella, Bjorud and Mokkaki.
Day Thirteen: Day Thirteen's challenge was to do something that scares you. This time the 30 gem prize was sponsored by Starfevre, with bonus prizes from Starfevre, dormeus, spartan7886, M258 and Citrusella. The winners were FudgeLobster, omahairish, x4ojM, Carduus, Khatab and doodlejump.
Day Fourteen: Day Fourteen's challenge was to do something you've been putting off. The 30 gem prize was sponsored by kitbeard, with bonus prizes from MEmry, Hexe_des_windes, Starfevre, StineMB3 and Citrusella. The winners were ashhoopzz_21, yearningjon, hb-cats, Sardonix, asunkissedmuse and YeahToast.
Day Fifteen: Day Fifteen's optional task was to repeat a previous challenge or do one you missed. The prizes were sponsored by shanaqui, with one main prize of 30 gems, and five prizes of 30 gems. The winners were lsviolinda, Nyzmeth, reaskz, dicedweller, kitbeard and Leticia.
Day Sixteen: Day Sixteen's task was to do something seasonal! (What season? That's up to you.) The challenge was sponsored by MEmry, with a 40 gem prize, and five 30 gem bonus prizes, with thanks to kitbeard, biblio_cat, monkiii, mike_the_monk and cTheDragons. The winners were voidglitch, Ceran, WynnLog, mowyer, Aerocarabino and TacticalTobi.
Day Seventeen: Day Seventeen's challenge was to give to charity, and the challenge was sponsored by M258, with five 30 gem prizes from M258, dragonleader, Evil_Overmom, Ehlyah and Sardonix. The winners were Blueishbluemaybe, Lithiumnitrogen, StineMB3, Jactina123, nikeinvicta and UltraBlack.
Day Eighteen: Day Eighteen's task was to make something. The 40 gem prize was sponsored by StineMB3, with five 30 gem prizes sponsored by StineMB3, whatifwhatifwhatif, Irenna, dragonleader and AnneDot. Day Nineteen: Day Nineteen's task was to thank someone. The 50 gem prize was from mimi17, and there were five 40 gem prizes, from AnneDot, whatifwhatifwhatif, Faranae on behalf of the Legendary Book Club, and Anonymous. The NY Fairy also left a spot for Anonymous to thank all five anonymous donors. 💙 The winners were Bumbleshoot, RadicalEdster, Frisia91, the_rogue_serafim, lineofbooks and jaioni.
Day Twenty: Day Twenty's optional task was to share something that makes you smile. The 50 gem prize was sponsored by shanaqui, with five bonus prizes of 50 gems. The winners were Mr_Pie_5, Quick-, BlackTheta, hb-cn0xpe33z8ss09y12, LadyRamkin and Beeblebrox299.
Day Twenty-One: Day Twenty-One's task was to learn something. Day Twenty-Two: Day Twenty-Two asked folks to reach out to someone who may be lonely or overwhelmed. Day Twenty-Three: Day Twenty-Three's task was to do something new to you. The main prize was sponsored by CalypsoTea, and there were five 40 gem bonus prizes from Ylvidera, Lalaitha, monkiii, cTheDragons and mike_the_monk. Day Twenty-Four: Day Twenty-Four's task was to do some citizen science. The main prize was 100 gems from shanaqui, with five bonus prizes of 80 gems each from citrusella, Ceran, Evil_Overmom, Fox_town and Sardonix. Day Twenty-Five: Day Twenty-Five had the optional task of just talking about your day! The main prize was 100 gems from shanaqui, and there were five bonus prizes of 100 gems. The winners were pandorabob, Saranovala, Polyglottericus, drag0nclaw, ghost25 and earlybird1.
Day Twenty-Six: Day Twenty-Six's task was to eat (or plan to eat) a favourite meal. The main prize of 50 gems was sponsored by QuartzFox, with bonus prizes of 40 gems from CalypsoTea, LadyShae, Ireanna, thewoolyotter and LadyRamkin. Day Twenty-Seven: Day Twenty-Seven's task was to do something that recharges you. The main prize was 50 gems and sponsored by citrusella, with 40-gem bonus prizes from QuartzFox, autumn_leaf, jsprdntn, glitterbox and Zetatata. Day Twenty-Eight: Day Twenty-Eight's task was to plan ahead financially. The main prize was 50 gems, from Sn0w-White, and the bonus prizes were 40 gems each, from dicedweller, ieahleen, Lalaitha, Ceran and LadyShae. The winners were fuimus, savot, minglesluvr, tricksterloki, odorating and kaistr.
Day Twenty-Nine: Day Twenty-Nine's task was to write a letter. The main prize of 70 gems was from Essja7, with bonus prizes of 60 gems from Frija, Ailish, Fox_town, Sn0w-White and wyemu. The winners were Vhizz125, crystalmoonpower, tead, yeatsmyfriend, 0-miren-0 and redwinterwinner.
Day Thirty: Day Thirty's challenge had an optional task of talking about your favourite task in this year's New Year Countdown challenges. The main prize was 100 gems, and there were five 100 gem bonus prizes. The challenge winners were wahacak, avgstudent, Ceran, lineofbooks, Hexe_des_Windes and dundermiffliz.
Day Thirty-One: Day Thirty-One's task was a traditional one: make a resolution! The main prize was 100 gems, sponsored by Cayst, and the bonus prizes of 80 gems were sponsored by the Legendary Book Club guild, Liviasum, AvatarAnimal, citrusella and ieahleen. The winners were oo_arg, camedownonamoonbeam, almuten, kitbeard, c6brown and NougatMoment.
