The Icy Arachnid is a quest with a boss called the Frost Spider. Completing this quest rewards each participant with 50 gold, 120 experience, and 3 Spider eggs. Additional Spider eggs also become available in the Market for 3 gems each.
Availability & Cost:
It was released on October 15, 2014, and has been continuously available ever since. The quest scroll can be purchased from the Quest Shop for 4 gems. It is also part of the Sandy Sidekicks and Witchy Familiars quest bundles, which are only sometimes available but each contains three different quests for only 7 gems.
Difficulty & Length:
The Frost Spider's HP of 400 makes this a short quest, and the strength multiplier of 1.5 gives it a base difficulty of "easy". Without using Warrior or Mage boss damaging skills, a four-person party typically takes less than two weeks to finish this quest. This is a recommended quest for lower level (less than level 25) characters and smaller parties.
Description[]
As the weather starts cooling down, delicate frost begins appearing on Habiticans' windowpanes in lacy webs... except for @Arcosine, whose windows are frozen completely shut by the Frost Spider currently taking up residence in his home. Oh dear.

Defeat the Frost Spider.
On Completion[]
The Frost Spider collapses, leaving behind a small pile of frost and a few of her enchanted egg sacs. Arcosine rather hurriedly offers them to you as a reward--perhaps you could raise some non-threatening spiders as pets of your own?
