The Basi-List is a boss quest with an eponymous boss. It was released as the first Mini-Quest. The quest scroll can be gained when a player invites someone to their party and the invitation is accepted, and can also be purchased from the Quest Shop for 100 GP.
The Basi-List's HP (100) makes this a short quest and its strength multiplier (0.5) makes this a trivial quest. Without using Warrior or Mage boss damaging skills, a four-person party can typically finish this quest in less than a week. This quest is recommended for lower level (less than level 25) characters and smaller parties.
It is intended to give new Habitica users a faster introduction to questing than having to wait until they hit level 15 (whereupon they will be given the Dish Disaster! quest).
Description[]
There's a commotion in the marketplace—the kind that should make you run away. Being a courageous adventurer, you run towards it instead, and discover a Basi-list, coalescing from a clump of incomplete To Do's! Nearby Habiticans are paralyzed with fear at the length of the Basi-list, unable to start working. From somewhere in the vicinity, you hear @Arcosine shout: "Quick! Complete your To Do's and Dailies to defang the monster, before someone gets a paper cut!" Strike fast, adventurer, and check something off - but beware! If you leave any Dailies undone, the Basi-list will attack you and your party!
Objective(s)[]
Defeat the Basi-List.

Trivia[]
While players are encouraged to be in a party with other Habiticans to enhance engagement and accountability, solo questers who want the Basi-List quest scroll (without spending the 100 gold in the Quest shop) can also send an invitation to WikiFAQ bot (User ID (UID) 29bfa638-cb88-40e8-a0d0-48f455e7b2bd). WikiFAQ bot will accept the invitation to grant the quest scroll, then leave the party. (Players who want to obtain the Basi-List scroll by joining a party with other players but have no one to invite can find party members through Party Wanted (Looking for Group) or Party Wanted International guilds.)
