Description

Habitica Phobia Protection hides Pets, Mounts, Quest Bosses, Equipment, and Backgrounds that display various creatures that can trigger phobias:

  • Bees
  • Beetles
  • Dinosaurs and Pterodactyls
  • Dragons
  • Ghosts (including Spooky Sparkles and the ghost avatar effect)
  • Monkeys
  • Moths
  • Nudibranchs
  • Rats
  • Skeletons
  • Snackless Monster quest boss and scroll
  • Snails
  • Snakes
  • Spiders
  • Whales and Orcas
  • Zombies

It can also hide animated items because some players find them too distracting. It does not hide animated NPCs or Hatching Potions because you see those items only when you visit Shop or Inventory pages.

It does not hide Pet Eggs or Quest scrolls (except where otherwise indicated) since those usually don't display clear images of the animals.

It will not hide images in Bailey messages.

When an avatar uses one of the hidden backgrounds, the extension hides the full avatar, not just the background.

Before installing the style, you must select the creatures you wish to hide. Select the "animations" option to hide animations. Read the style's description for instructions.

To have other types of creatures added or if you find that the existing settings don't hide all the items they should, email the author at lady_alys@oldgods.net

Hiding Words

It is not possible for this style to hide text. For example, it can hide Habitica's official images of Bees but not the word "Bee" itself.

There are extensions that can automatically change words on any web page that you visit. To find some, do a search in Google or any other search engine for the name of the browser that you use and the words "word replacement" or similar. Not all of the extensions that you find will work in Habitica because some of Habitica's content is generated after the page loads, but some extensions are able to handle that so try a few until you find one that works. You might find that Text Rewriter works for Habitica (available for Firefox, Chrome, browsers based on them).
