Perception increases gold and item drop rates.

Perception (PER) is a character attribute that affects the rate of drops and gold points (GP). It is the primary attribute for Rogues and the secondary attribute for Mages.

This attribute increases the following things:

  • The likelihood of finding drops (including drops for collection quests) when completing Tasks.

Rogues can use the skill "Tools of the Trade" to buff themselves and their party's Perception by an amount determined by their own unbuffed Perception value.

Players who use task-based allocation will gain Perception by completing tasks categorized as "Other".

  • Increases gold gained from tasks by 2% per point (also applies to gold gained from streak bonuses).
  • Increases drop chance bonus subtotal by 1% per point (subtotal is then passed through an asymptotic function, so additional perception yields limited returns to actual drop rate).
  • Increases drop-cap by 1 for every 25 points of PER.

Note: You will NOT find quest scrolls by increasing your Perception attribute. Quest scrolls are not random drops.
